Blind Date With a Book display sign
Give readers a clear invitation to choose a wrapped book by its clues. This black-and-white sign is page 2 of our free three-page starter pack, with matching labels on page 1 and setup instructions on page 3.

Choose your paper size below. Both downloads contain all three pages; these are not separate sign-only files.
- Open the saved PDF in your PDF viewer. On a phone, use Save or Share if it opens in a browser.
- Choose US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 (210 × 297 mm) paper to match the file.
- Set the page range to 2, portrait orientation, and 100% / Actual size. Check the print preview before printing.
- Place the flat sheet in an existing frame or upright holder. It is a poster, not a folding tent card.
No color printer needed. If your printer clips the edges, use Fit to printable area for the sign. For labels on page 1, use the sizing instructions on the templates page.
Put the sign where the choice happens
Place it behind a single row of wrapped books, high enough that the front row does not hide the instructions. Stand where a reader would approach: can you read the heading and see each book’s clues? Move the sign closer if you need to lean in.
Library or classroom
Add a separate small note with your local borrowing rule: “Choose one, check it out at the desk, then unwrap.” For a classroom, say whether students may swap a book that does not suit them. Keep reading level and content notes visible on individual labels; the shared sign cannot describe every book.
Book swap or gift table
Place the sign beside the starting point and add your swap rule, such as “Bring one wrapped book, choose one to take home.” For a shop, show the price separately and clearly. The free sign does not contain prices or checkout rules.
